Urinary infection

NALIXONE TABLETS 500MG/50MG Treatment of urinary tract infections and associated symptoms caused by Gram-negative microorganisms susceptible to nalidixic acid, including Klebsiella, Enterobacter, E. coli, and most Proteus strains.

This medication is a combination of two antibiotics: sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim. It is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections (e.g., middle ear, urinary tract, respiratory, and intestinal infections). It is also used to prevent and treat certain types of pneumonia (pneumocystis). It has a moderately broad antibacterial spectrum, acting on gram-positive cocci and aerobic gram-negative cocci and bacilli, especially Enterobacteriaceae.

Adults, treatment of: pyelonephritis and complicated urinary tract infections, chronic bacterial prostatitis, uncomplicated cystitis, inhalational anthrax (treatment and post-exposure prophylaxis). Treatment, when recommended antibacterials are inappropriate, of: acute bacterial sinusitis, acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, community-acquired pneumonia, complicated skin and soft tissue infections.

Therapeutic Indications Butylscopolamine + Metamizole Moderate to severe acute postoperative or posttraumatic pain. Moderate to severe cramping pain.
