Topiramate belongs to a class of medications called anticonvulsants. It works by reducing abnormal excitation in the brain.

Sertraline is used to treat depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (intrusive thoughts that won't go away, and the urge to perform certain actions over and over again), panic attacks (sudden, unexpected attacks of extreme fear, and the worry about these attacks), post-traumatic stress disorder (disturbing psychological symptoms that develop after a frightening experience), and social anxiety disorder (extreme fear of interacting with or performing in front of other people that interferes with normal life). Clonazepam is used alone or in combination with other medications to control certain types of seizures. It is also used to relieve panic attacks (sudden, unexpected attacks of extreme fear and worry about these attacks).

Gabapentin treats seizures by decreasing abnormal brain excitation. Gabapentin relieves the discomfort of postherpetic neuralgia by changing the way the body senses pain. It is not known exactly how gabapentin works to treat restless legs syndrome. If discomfort persists, consult your doctor.
